
Prepping For Your Inspection

Professionally trained k9 inspector handlers will asses the area to be inspected before entering with the K9. To ensure a quick and accurate inspection, please follow the prep list below.
Prep List
1. Furniture should be moved 2 feet away from walls to allow bed bug dog to inspect the baseboards and inspect all around the furniture to complete a thorough inspection.
2. Make sure food and medication are put away.
3. Place all animal food and bowls on high surfaces or areas.
4. Please make sure all household pets are outside or put away from the inspection area.
5. Remove as many obstructions from the floor as possible. For example shoes, toys, etc.
6. Don’t “over-clean” your place which could potentially scare bed bugs away.
7. Absolutely no bed bug-killing chemicals are to be used for 30 days prior to the inspection.
8. Schedule the K9 Inspection at least two weeks after heat treatment.
9. Please be sure that all diatomaceous earth has been vacuumed and removed from all flooring and furniture.
10. Do not use household cleaners, aerosol products, or other scented chemicals for at least 12 hours prior to inspection.
11. Extinguish all candles, air fresheners, tobacco products, and other strong smelling items at least 2 hours prior to inspection.
12. Please turn off fans, air purifiers, humidifiers, etc. at least 30 minutes before inspection. Air conditioners must be turned off.
